Leading Aftermarket Computer Supplier Undergoes Transformation

CCI Triad has changed its name to Activant Solutions Inc., a shift which the company says also brings with it a new approach to the automotive aftermarket.
The company, which enjoys a dominant market share in terms of installed base at the distribution level of the automotive aftermarket in North America, says the name changed is designed to reflect a strengthened and unified corporate culture, enhanced product and service capabilities and renewed commitment to industry leadership.
"We have a new name because we’re a much different company today," said Hoon Chung, senior vice-president and general manager of the Activant automotive group.
High among the company’s priorities is to deliver solutions to the distribution chain that will help reduce inventory costs, improve liquidity, and improve overall efficiency.
"Conventional supply chain technologies–which simply automate business as usual–aren’t capable of overcoming these issues," Chung said. "We believe the solution lies in implementing a set of tools that continuously informs customers of new selling opportunities, connects their businesses with strategic partners in highly efficient trading networks, and allows them to respond to market demand in a much faster and far more cost-efficient manner."
The company says it remains committed to supporting existing products in the marketplace.
