Latest From Automechanika

Innovation appears to be the name of the game for the upcoming Automechanika trade show hosted in Frankfurt Germany, from September 12-17.
According to officials with the show, more than half of the 4500 exhibitors expected at the event will be showcasing new parts and part systems.
With more than 70% of the exhibitors coming from outside Germany, one of the show’s stated goals is to partner up some of these so-called second or third teir suppliers with some major manufacturers. Not only is the show concentrated on the smaller players, however, as many of the top-line OEM manufacturers are also slated to be on hand.
Harmut Rohl, Chairman of the Federal Association of the Automotive Parts Trade says: “The trade fair is, and continues to be the key destination for all those who want a compact overview, in a single location, of trends and innovations in the vehicle repair and spare parts market. At the same time, the fair not only offers insights into product trends, but is also throws light on the continuing development of market structures.”
With specialized forums specializing in both overseas transactions, as well as a more focused European based event, Automechanika is looking strong for 2006.
