Western Canada automotive aftermarket personality John (Shorty) Bergen passed away December 15.
Bergen worked in the auto parts business most of his life, working in the auto wrecking business for many years.
He started in the aftermarket with his employment at WSSL Auto Parts Distributors of Saskatoon, Sask., on May 28 1990. His employment started with inside counter sales till 1998, when he went into outside sales. He was named salesman of the year before long. He was named to the honour twice more over the next few years. Bergen enjoyed calling on customer in small town Saskatchewan and being on the road, meeting with people.
Bergen was diagnosed with Leukemia in May of 2005, he passed away Dec. 15/2005 at the age of 56.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Eleanor, daughter Jackie, son John (Rene), daughter Sabrina (Jeff), step son Jerry (Val) step daughter Tammy and four grandchildren, Paige, April, Cameron, and Jessica, His brother Gordon ( Florence), sister Eileen (John), sister-in-law Evelyn, and many nieces, nephews, customers and staff and management of WSSL Auto Parts Distributors.
