Former Quebec Premiere and one of Canada’s best known political figures has been announced as a keynote speaker at the Automotive Industries Association (AIA) of Canada’s 2013 Aftermarket Conference for Executives (ACE).
ACE will take place at the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City on April 11th and 12th.
Charest was first elected as a Member of Parliament in 1984, at the age of 26. He continued to serve as an MP at the federal level until 1998 in a number of posts including: Minister of State for Fitness and Amateur Sport; Minister of the Environment; Minister of Industry, Science, and Technology; and Deputy Prime Minister. Finally giving in to public and political pressure, Charest left federal politics in 1998 and became leader of the Quebec Liberal Party. He then served as Premier of Quebec from 2003 until 2012.
Charest will be joining Dan Gardner, an award-winning journalist, and Dr. Sherry Cooper, one of Canada’s most influential women, to round out the stellar line-up of speakers scheduled for this year’s event.
