Muskoka Auto Parts inventory manager Brian McKee is the winner of the "Jobber News and SSGM Want to Send You to the U.S. Grand Prix" Contest.
"I have always wanted to see a Formula One Grand Prix, and this is the perfect chance to see what one is really like," said McKee.
McKee, who works for the Bestbuy shareholder in Huntsville, Ont., correctly anwsered the three questions on the new motor oil standard to win the prize, donated by Castrol. The questions appeared in the July issues of Jobber News Magazine and Service Station and Garage Management Magazine, published by the Southam Automotive Group, in Don Mills, Ont.
The prize consists of an all expense paid trip for two to Indianapolis for the Grand Prix September 28-30, including accommodation, tickets, passes to the Castrol hospitality tent, and probably some unexpected prize goodies too.
Hundreds of entries were received and those entrants who knew that the API SL designation and the GF-3 designation are both part of the new motor oil standard, that the Energy Conserving rating was required to display the "starburst" symbol, and that oils meeting the new standard are not available in all viscosity ratings, were entered in a draw for the prize.
Castrol will be McKee’s host during the Grand Prix. Castrol is a key technical sponsor of the WilliamsF1.BMW team.
