Gates Corporation Pledges To Fund 10 $1,000 Scholarships for 2013


The Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS) Scholarship Committee has announced that Gates Corporation has pledged to fund 10 $1,000 scholarships for the 2013 GAAS scholarship awards.

“It is vital for our industry to have talented and educated people ready to embrace the challenges of the future. We are proud to invest in the industry’s future by supporting these scholarships,” said Jeff Brekke, president, North America Aftermarket, Gates.

“The GAAS Scholarship Committee is very pleased that Gates has once again funded these 10 scholarships for students planning careers in the automotive aftermarket,” said Pete Kornafel, chairman of the GAAS Scholarship Selection Committee. “Gates’ support enhances the value offered by the GAAS scholarship program as a ‘one stop shop’ for automotive scholarships”
