Activant Solutions, a leading provider of vertical business management solutions, recently gave its annual President’s Award for Electronics Data Excellence to Four Seasons and two other parts manufacturers. The awards were presented at the 2006 National Catalogue Managers Association (NCMA) “Knowledge Exchange” conference in Myrtle Beach S.C. A broad range of criteria was the basis for the Activant award, including data accuracy, completeness, timelines, consistency delivery and communication. NCMA, with its 200 members representing most major North American automotive parts manufacturers, establishes and monitors quality standards for print and electronic catalogues. Steve Bieszcat, vice president of information services for Activant, said, “Manufacturers can gain a competitive advantage in the aftermarket when the counter person is empowered with better and more timely product information.” Four Seasons, the world’s largest remanufacturer of automotive compressors, also manufactures and distributes a complete line of replacement climate control products for passenger cars, SUVs, trucks and fleets. Standard Motor Products, the parent company of Four Seasons, also offers ignition, emission controls, wire and cable, electrical and fuel delivery components to the aftermarket industry.
