Ford Cuts Oakville Jobs

Ford Motor Company confirmed it will be cutting an additional 500 jobs at its assembly plant in Oakville, Ontario due to falling demand in the U.S. market.
Earlier this year, Ford said it would create an additional 500 jobs at its final assembly section of the plant to increase output of cross-over utility vehicles. That plan was put on hold as rising gas prices and a slowing U.S. economy reduced demand for such vehicles.
