Federal-Mogul Names Michael Sobieski Vice President Ignition and Wipers

Michael Sobieski has been appointed to the position of vice president, global ignition and wiper products group for Federal-Mogul Corp., effective immediately.
Sobieski will be responsible for the global operations of Champion spark plugs and Anco wiper blades for the aftermarket, original equipment manufacturing and original equipment service.
Sobieski, who joined the Federal-Mogul in 1998, most recently served as director of European and South African Friction Operations based in Bad Camberg, Germany.
Prior to that he served in multiple positions of increasing responsibility including director of operations, Friction; plant manager at Logansport, Ind. and Smithville, Tenn.; and engineering and production manager, Friction. Previous to joining Federal-Mogul Sobieski worked for Siemens Automotive and Ford Motor Company.
Sobieski earned a bachelor’s degree from West Point and a master’s degree from General Motors Institute, Flint, Mich.
