The next round of SEMA Installer Certification exams will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 9, in more than 700 locations around the United States and Canada.
Registration closes on Wednesday, Sept. 22.
Tests will be administered for the Z1-Z4 accessory installation certification as well as for the newly implemented Custom Wheel & Tire Specialist Exam known as Z5.
The SEMA program to certify technicians who install accessories on cars and trucks includes Z1/Electric Sunroofs, Z2/Body Exterior Components, Z3/Leather Interiors and Z4/Roof Treatments. The Z5, which was administered for the first time last May to more than 250 candidatees, is designed to measure real-world knowledge and skills of the wheel and tire professionals who sell and install custom applications on passenger cars and light-duty trucks.
