Automotive aftermarket professionals who utilize business technology are urged to make plans to attend the MEMA Technology Council (MTC) Annual Fall Conference, slated for Sunday, Oct. 10, through Tuesday, Oct. 12, in Marco Island, Fla.
Attendees will include those whose responsibilities involve customer service, business support, e-commerce, information services, cataloguing, forecasting and supply chain.
“The MTC Fall Conference is the only event that focuses on the needs of technology professionals in aftermarket supplier industry,” noted Chris Gardner, MTC group executive and vice president, Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA). “At this year’s event, technologies that enable suppliers to meet customer requirements will be emphasized.”
A major highlight of the 2010 Fall Conference will be the Customer Roundtables. Representatives from Uni-Select, Auto Wares and other major automotive aftermarket channel partners will discuss their companies’ e-commerce programs, future growth plans and initiatives.
Other conference features will include:
–Future vehicle technologies and how they will impact the aftermarket
–How to establish a data management services department within a manufacturer’s operations
–Current state of the repair professional, repair shop and use of e-commerce technology
–OptiCat: New production tools for suppliers and data receivers

–Data Management: The four Cs of enablement – content, convergence, conveyance and catalogue
–Supplier-only session – e-commerce directory, customer matrix, special ordering

The first registration for MTC member companies is free, and additional employees can attend at a discounted rate. Channel partners (warehouse distributors, groups and retailers) can attend for half the normal registration fee.
