Earnhardt and Gordon Announce NASCAR Cookbook


Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group, announces the signing of Martha Earnhardt and Carol Gordon Bickford as authors of a new cookbook titled “Pit Stop in a Southern Kitchen: Two Moms of Racing Legends Serve Up Stories and Recipes.”
The book will include nearly 200 private recipes shared by family and friends over the years. Additionally, the project will feature personal stories and include never-before-seen photos from two of NASCAR’s most well-known families, as well as a foreword from Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
It is slated to release in February 2009.
“We are delighted that these ladies have chosen to partner with us to share the stories and dishes that have drawn their families and friends together over the years,” says Lonnie Hull DuPont, editorial director, Revell.
Martha Earnhardt is the wife of racing pioneer Ralph Lee Earnhardt, the mother of the legendary Dale Earnhardt, and the grandmother of NASCAR racing great Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
She lives in Kannapolis, North Carolina.
Carol Gordon Bickford is the mother of NASCAR racing great Jeff Gordon.
She and her husband, John, have been actively involved in the racing world for more than thirty years.
Carol and John live in Concord, North Carolina.
