Denso Names North American President


Denso today announced that Haruya Maruyama will be named president and CEO of Denso International America (DIAM), Denso’s North American headquarters, effective April 1. Maruyama is a managing officer and current president of Denso Automotive Deutschland GmbH Maruyama began his career in Denso’s Tokyo sales office in 1978.
Following a series of positions in the sales group, Maruyama was named president of DNDE in July 2002, and in June 2004, he was promoted to a managing officer responsible for all sales activities throughout Europe.
During his tenure as president of DNDE, he reinforced the organization of European sales companies and led the sales expansion of Denso products such as air conditioners and diesel injection systems to European automakers.
“This is a challenging time in the automotive industry in North America and around the world,” said Maruyama.
“As president and CEO of DIAM, my goal is to help Denso become the most trusted systems and component manufacturer to our customers.”
Denso Corporation, headquartered in Kariya, Aichi prefecture, Japan, is a global supplier of advanced technology, systems and components. Worldwide, the company employs approximately 112,000 people in 32 countries and regions, including Japan.
