Delphi posts operating loss in January

Troy, Michigan-based Delphi Corp. posted a US$115 million operating loss in January, bringing the supplier’s operating losses to US$862 million. The company applied for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in October of last year.
Delphi sought Chapter 11 protection for its U.S. operations due to continued losses, which Delphi blamed on production costs, higher raw-material costs and uncompetitive labour costs.
