Delphi has announced the first grand prize winner in its 2010 Destination: Victory Lane technician contest.
Dave Bausinger of Dave’s Pro Auto Service in Williamsport, Penn., was the winner of the first of four grand prizes in Delphi’s contest.
As the prize, Bausinger and his son, Michael, recently travelled to the Hendrick Motorsports facilities in Charlotte, N.C., to attend Delphi’s day-long photo shoot with Mark Martin, driver of the No. 5 Delphi Chevrolet and his crew chief, Alan Gustafson.
In addition to meeting Martin and Gustafson, the Bausingers participated in the photo shoot, took tours of Hendrick Motorsports and nearby Charlotte Motor Speedway, watched the teams practice pit stops, and also received autographed memorabilia. Their one-of-a-kind experience included a behind-the-scenes look at the Hendrick team’s design studio, body shop, engine shop and race prep facilities.
During the photo shoot, Mike Bausinger pitched in as Mark Martin’s stand-in while the crew prepared the set.
“This trip was a once-in-a-lifetime event for us and I thank Delphi for making it happen,” said Dave Bausinger.
There are still three more grand prizes available including trips to Sprint Cup Chase races, weekly prizes of 42” TVs or Delphi-branded merchandise, plus instant prizes awarded every day. Technicians can register for a chance to win at www.delphi.com/victorylane.
If they register to enter the site, they can follow Delphi’s driver, Martin, and his Hendrick Motorsports’ teammates Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. In addition, technicians have the opportunity to send race or technical questions to Alan Gustafson.
