Delphi had the added Gaetan-Robert Chevrier to its aftermarket sales efforts in the Quebec province, as well as two trainers, Mario Demers and David Cochrane, to its training program for expanded Canadian coverage.
With more than 30 years experience in the automotive aftermarket, Chevrier most recently worked as a sales representative for Specialty Sales and Marketing (SS&M) covering the Montreal west, Laurentians and Ottawa Valley territories. Prior to his role at SS&M, he worked at Castrol for more than 25 years with his last position as the Eastern Canada regional sales manager. Chevrier is bilingual.
“Gaetan is a critical addition to the Quebec market and we are proud to have him part of the DPSS team,” said Keith Gordon, managing director, Canadian aftermarket, Delphi Product & Service Solutions. “He has a wealth of experience in the aftermarket, which will be beneficial in developing and maintaining customer relationships.”
To address market requests for Delphi OE-based training, Delphi has added two experienced trainers, Mario Demers and David Cochrane, to cover the Canadian provinces.
Demers has been a successful shop owner and a tools and equipment representative which led to becoming an on-site technical trainer. He has also provided training in service issues, compliance and regulatory standards, and translation concerns to various manufacturers, government committees, and colleges across the country. Mario is bilingual in French and English.
Cochrane has more than 29 years of experience as a technician and instructor. He holds multiple certifications and currently is a professor of automotive technology at Niagara College Canada, as well as in-field automotive service technician and shop foreman for a major automotive service repair corporation.
“The DPSS training program continues to grow as we address the increased demand for our leader led courses,” said Patrick Staarmann, sales director, telematics and training services, Delphi Product & Service Solutions. “The experience these new trainers bring to our team reinforces our commitment that our customers can walk away confident they have learned new repair and service techniques that will help them for the future.”
