DaimlerChrysler Canada and Chrysler Financial Canada have announced donations of $100,000 and $25,000 respectively
to the North Thompson Relief Fund in an effort to provide assistance to families affected by the forest fires in British Columbia.
“We are extremely concerned about the future of the families who have lost their homes and jobs in the Kamloops/North Thompson area,” said Ed Brust, Chairman, President and CEO, DaimlerChrysler Canada. “We hope that this financial contribution will help in the recovery from this devastation.”
“We sincerely hope that our contribution alleviates some of the misfortune of those impacted by this tragedy,” said Richard A. Howard, Managing Director, Chrysler Financial Canada.
“As the first company to lend its support to the North Thompson Relief Fund, we are fortunate to have DaimlerChrysler Canada on board to help resurrect our communities,” said Derek Johnston, who oversees corporate
fundraising for the North Thompson Relief Fund. “DaimlerChrysler Canada’s support is vital to rebuilding homes and giving us the resources needed to
restore the industries that were destroyed.”
