CTDI Brings its Operational Expertise to AAPEX 2013

Jerry Parsons, one of the founders of Communications Test Design, Inc. (CTDI), was in Las Vegas for the company’s news conference to announce its entry into the automotive market. CTDI is showcasing its remanufacturing capabilities through Reman 8.0, its one-stop solution for vehicle manufacturers and suppliers in the automotive industry at the 2013 AAPEX Show in Las Vegas, Nov. 5-8 at booth #4075 in the Sands Expo Center.

CTDI was founded in 1975 by Jerry Parsons, his father, Don, and brother, Dick, in the family’s garage in West Chester, Pa. Since its beginning, CTDI has been a privately held, family-owned business operated by the Parsons family. The company has grown into a worldwide enterprise that employs over 6,500 employees at 60-plus world-class remanufacturing and distribution centres in 15 countries including 41 locations throughout North America.

CTDI’s global network offers in-region, cost-effective solutions and utilizes standard processes ensuring the highest level of quality and consistency. The company has extensive remanufacturing expertise that includes full functional testing, warranty screening, root cause failure mode analysis, cosmetic refurbishment, and board level component repairs. Each facility employs the CTDI quality system and is certified according to customer and market segment requirements to ensure the highest remanufacturing standards and customer satisfaction.

“Increasingly, our customers also rely on CTDI for logistics and inventory management,” says Mark Shasteen, vice-president of CTDI’s automotive division. “Our expertise gives customers access to lean efficient warehouse operations with robust IT systems tailored to meet their unique demands. As a result, we can optimize a customer’s distribution model and inventory planning process, free-up working capital and improve cash flow.”

Shasteen says CTDI’s Electronic Tracking and Ordering System provides customers with web-based order management and visibility to all remanufacturing activity including order status, inventory levels and performance metrics. CTDI’s ETOS supplies configurable functionality and seamless integration into virtually any customer ERP or planning system such as SAP or Oracle.
