Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket, manufacturer and supplier of VDO OE-engineered instrumentation and replacement parts, has just released its new 2016 VDO TPMS Replacement Parts Program catalog. In addition to the latest application validations for VDO REDI-Sensor Multi-Application TPMS sensors and VDO TPMS OE sensors and service kits, the catalog features an application section and an illustrated Buyer’s Guide with individual listings for REDI-Sensor multi-application sensors, OE sensor assemblies and service kits.
Also included are torque specifications, installation tips, service kit guide, make/model index, OE cross reference, REDI-Sensor cross reference and product information and contact information.
Expanded REDI-Sensor coverage
The new catalog showcases the latest application validations for the VDO REDI-Sensor Multi-Application TPMS Sensor Service Solution. REDI-Sensor SE10002A increases coverage for over 3 million additional vehicles, while fully retaining all of the applications of SE10002. Overall, the VDO REDI-Sensor program now covers over 89 million vehicles and the coverage keeps growing daily.
Only five REDI-Sensor sensor assemblies are needed to replace over 244 OE sensors and deliver widespread coverage for domestic, Asian, and European cars, trucks, SUVs, crossovers and vans from 2002 to 2016.
According to Lindsay Smith, TPMS associate product manager, “The overall VDO TPMS Replacement Parts Program has also been expanded with additional coverage of OE sensors and service kits for a wider range of domestic, European and Asian vehicles. The part numbers in our new VDO 2016 TPMS Replacement Parts Catalog represent over 244 million sensor service opportunities and demonstrate Continental’s ever present and ongoing commitment to innovation, quality, and coverage.”
Ready to install right out of the box
REDI-Sensor is ready to use right out of the box and works with all major TPMS scan tools. Auto parts retailers can deliver REDI-Sensor without worrying whether their customers have the necessary TPMS scan tools necessary to work with it. If a shop has the tools and know-how to service OE sensors, it’s ready for REDI-Sensor!
