Continental Expanding TPMS Vehicle Coverage With New VDO REDI-Sensor SKU

Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket  will add a new multi-application TPMS sensor to its game changing VDO REDI-Sensor Multi-application TPMS sensor line. The new sensor, which is planned for Q2 2014, will offer coverage for over 4.6 million additional vehicles currently in operation. This coverage will include models from Audi, Mercedes Benz, GM light truck, Subaru, Volkswagen, Volvo and late model Toyota and Nissan vehicles.

The VDO REDI-Sensor Multi-application TPMS sensor program currently covers over 85% of all vehicles in North America with only three sensor SKUs, and replaces over 140 OE sensors.  It installs right out of the box and is designed to follow standard OE vehicle relearn procedures.  No sensor programming or cloning is required. VDO REDI-Sensor has a faster TPMS scan tool hunt mode and works with all major TPMS scan tools, including those from ATEQ, Bartec, OTC / SPX, K-Tool (T.I.P.S.) and Snap-on.

VDO REDI-Sensor is manufactured to exacting OE standards. It features a robust anodized aluminum clamp-in valve stem for added reliability and a pivoting valve stem for maximum wheel fit compatibility.

Overall TPMS coverage for the VDO REDI-Sensor sensor program includes: Acura, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hummer, Hyundai, Infiniti, Isuzu, Jeep, Kia, Lexus, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercury, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Pontiac, Saab, Saturn, Scion, Suzuki, Toyota and Volkswagen.

Continental is one of the industry’s leading manufacturers of Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems. All VDO TPMS replacement parts are made in ISO-certified facilities to the same quality standards as the parts supplied to automakers worldwide.
