Ray Datt, President of the Automotive Industries Association of Canada is pleased to announce the following staff changes at the association’s Ottawa office.
Mireille Schippers, after 18 years with the association, decided that it was time for a change and moved on to pursue new challenges with the Canadian Association of Professional Engineers. Allison Reynolds has also left AIA to pursue a change in career paths. While their contributions will be missed, we wish them well in their new careers.
With change comes opportunity and AIA is happy to announce:
Therese Santostefano is now Senior Coordinator, Operations and Events. Therese, who has been with AIA for 8 years will be working with Deborah Moynes-Keshen on all AIA events while also overseeing the association’s finances. Heather Burns has been promoted to Senior Coordinator, Membership. Members should now contact Heather for any membership related issues.
The Communications Team is also making some changes. Katherine Power, Manager Public Relations is moving to Oakville with her family and is taking a leave of absence during July and August to settle into her new home. She will be working remotely for the association beginning in September. Patty Kettles has accepted a promotion to Manager Sales and Marketing. Patty has made tremendous contributions to the association for many years and is looking forward to turning her many talents to a new role. Her new responsibilities include expanding AIA’s sponsorship and sales activities and working to ensure members get value from their ongoing support of the association. She is also responsible for AIA’s Canadian Pavilion at AAPEX, Canada Night, and Canadian Collision Repair Night in Las Vegas.
These changes have obviously opened up opportunities within the organization and AIA is currently working to fill a few new positions with qualified and motivated staff.
