A Canadian shop has been named as one of the 11 finalists in the 2002 CARQUEST Excellence Awards.
MSJ Automotive Services, located in Windsor, Ont. and owned by John Sawatsky was the lone Canadian repair business selected among other U.S. shops in the North American wide competition. Judging was conducted by automotive trade magazine editors and the Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.
“This year was another record year for entries. There were 481 nominees,” says Steve Massarelli, CARQUEST director of professional markets.
This year is the 11th year of the CARQUEST Excellence Award and the Technician’s Advisory Council. The award is based on criteria such as industry involvement, number of ASE certifications, community involvement, training, shop appearance, and customer service.
