Three professional associations representing the collision, auto service and aftermarket sectors have announced they will be joining forces to sponsor a career forum day at CarFixWorld.
The National Automotive Trades Association (NATA), the Automotive Aftermarket Retailers of Ontario (AARO) and the Hamilton District Autobody Repair Association (HARA) will jointly host CarFix Career Forum on Friday, September 29, the first day of the three-day CarFixWorld.
The CarFix Career Forum will be dedicated to presenting students and apprentices with the latest information in automotive mechanical and collision repair services. There will be special presentations aimed at students currently in automotive tech courses, as well as students who might be interested in joining the automotive service industry.
Along with presentations from industry experts, CarFix Career Forum will sponsor a job board and resume exchange, and an innovative six-minute job interview that will connect interested student candidates with industry members looking to hire people.
“This event is just what the entire automotive repair industry needs to create excitement among young people and build for the future,” said John Norris of NATA.
CarFixWorld will take place on Friday, September 29, Saturday September 30 and Sunday, October 1, 2006 at the National Trade Centre in Toronto.
