CAMVAP Information Added To CarProof Vehicle History Reports

CarProof has entered into an agreement with the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan to include vehicles bought back through the CAMVAP program in its reports.
Data provided by CAMVAP will inform consumers nationwide whether a used vehicle they are considering purchasing has been bought back by the manufacturer under the program.
CAMVAP is a voluntary dispute resolution program that has been in place across Canada since 1994 offering consumers a free and quick mechanism to resolve disputes related to alleged manufacturers’ defects or the implementation of the new vehicle warranty. The program is supported by the majority of vehicle manufacturers, all provincial and territorial governments, and the Consumers Association of Canada on behalf of consumers. CAMVAP is fair, fast, friendly, free and final.
CAMVAP’s general manager, Steve Moody noted, “CAMVAP knows it is very important that consumers be made aware of as much information as possible when considering the purchase of a used vehicle. The information that we are able to provide to CarProof on the vehicles that have been through our program, could be crucial in providing pertinent historical data that may affect a consumer’s decision to purchase the vehicle.”
“CAMVAP has been a groundbreaking and innovative approach to resolving consumer concerns about their vehicles. Adding this data stream to our report provides another level of transparency and again solidifies our commitment to provide the industry and more importantly consumers, with all the information available on the history of any given used vehicle for sale in Canada, ” stated Marty Meadows, CarProof vice-president of strategic accounts and business development.
