AIA President Marc Brazeau has announced the addition of two new senior level employees to the Association’s team.
Effective in 2008, Steve Houle is the Director, National Business Development and Mireille Schippers is Manager, Member and Industry Relations.
“The needs of our members, as well as the landscape within which we operate, are evolving,” says Brazeau.
“Steve and Mireille bring with them the skills and experience the association needs to stay at the cutting edge of these changes.”
As the Director, National Business Development, Steve is responsible for planning, delivery and monitoring of the Association’s national membership recruitment and retention initiatives as well as all sponsorship programs.
He reports to the President, and manages the sales force for the association.
Steve joins AIA with close to 16 years of sales experience in the Canadian automotive aftermarket, having worked with NAPA, Carquest and Blue Streak Hygrade Motor Products.
Mireille supports the planning, development and implementation of the Motorist Assurance Program of Canada.
She manages the operations and administration of the program, while participating in the recruitment of new subscribers and sponsors.
She assists in government, member and industry relations, and works closely with the AIA Quebec Division to develop their activities.
Mireille first joined the AIA team in 1987 and over the years gained a solid understanding of the association and the automotive aftermarket industry.
AIA is a national trade association representing the automotive aftermarket industry in Canada.
