NAPA Canada, a division of UAP Inc., has announced the appointment of Eric Axiak to the position of vice-president, Corporate Stores Ontario. In this assignment, Axiak assumes responsibility for the operation of all company-owned NAPA Auto Parts stores and CMAX Paint & Body specialty stores in Ontario. He joins NAPA from Canadian Tire’s PartSource business unit where he was national sales manager. Previous to that, he held a number of sales and marketing management positions at Goodyear Canada.

The Automotive Group, publishers of Jobber News Magazine, Service Station & Garage Management, Bodyshop Magazine, l’automobile, and operators of Autoserviceworld.com, has announced several appointments.

John MacPherson has been promoted to the position of senior publisher of The Automotive Group. He has been with The Automotive Group for the past six years in sales and publishing capacities. He has also been in various other occupations in the automotive industry for the past 12 years, including running his own automotive sales business, and repair shop. He will also continue as publisher of Service Station & Garage Management.

Andrew Ross has been promoted to the position of publisher of Jobber News Magazine. He will assume this role in addition to his continuing capacity as editor. He has been with Jobber News in an editorial capacity for the past 13 years and brings a wealth of knowledge about the aftermarket to his new position.

Shauna Penner has been appointed account manager at Jobber News Magazine. She moves from an account manager position at l’automobile to take up responsibilities at Jobber News.

Christine Reed has joined l’automobile as account manager. Reed has been in the publishing business for the past six years and will operate out of the group’s Montreal office.
