Jean Douville, chairman and CEO of UAP Inc., has announced the appointment of Larry Samuelson as president and CEO. Samuelson joined UAP in February as executive vice-president of the Auto Parts Division. Prior to joining UAP he was vice-president of the Mountain Division, NAPA’s largest division located in Denver, Co. Also, Carman Bennett, senior vice-president, UAP, will concentrate on the CMax project and other critical areas of expansion for the company in advance of his retirement in April 2001. After his retirement, Bennett will continue to be involved with UAP.
CRC Industries Inc. has announced that Roy M. Howarth has been promoted to managing director, CRC Canada, Inc. Howarth joined CRC Canada in 1993 as national sales manager. As managing director, he will be responsible for CRC Canada sales, marketing and operations.
Autospecialty, TRW’s North American independent aftermarket business, has appointed John Mullins to lead the business as general manager. Mullins has held a variety of positions within TRW since joining the company in 1991. He was most recently general manager, sales and distribution for TRW’s European aftermarket business.
David W. Fred has joined Durakon Industries as vice-president of aftermarket sales. He has more than 33 years of experience managing sales and marketing in the automotive industry, most recently with Gates Rubber Company. In his capacity with Durakon, he will oversee sales efforts for a variety of new product offerings.
