AIA Young Executive Society Announces Diverse Program

The Young Executives Society of the Automotive Industries Association of Canada has announced the program for its first leadership conference in November.
The Young Executive Society Leadership Conference Vision 2020 combines several themes into one event, which will take place on a single day.
The topics will include a business success story, customer relations management, health and well being, and career development. Vision 2020 will be held from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the DoubleTree International Plaza Hotel in Toronto on Tuesday, November 18, 2003. The scheduling allows attendees to also attend the Automotive Aftermarket Forum.
Vision 2020 will feature Rick Gaetz, CEO and founder of Vitran Corporation, CRM expert Bob Angel, Health and well-being expert John Cape of Medcan Health Management Inc, an overview by Queen’s University of career development opportunities, as well as a presentation by AIA chair Ken Coulter. The leadership conference will end on a high note with supper, featuring sports celebrity Gord Stellick. Gord Stellick is best known as the youngest general manager in NHL history from his time at the helm of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
“The Young Executive Society is very excited to have put together such a diverse program for time-crunched aftermarket executives,” says AIA YES chair Ezer Mevorach of Mevotech Inc. “In addition to a great program, the YES conference will also provide participants with excellent networking opportunities with their peers.
“We timed the YES Leadership Conference so that participants could come to the conference and also attend the AIA’s 8th Annual Automotive Aftermarket Forum,” continues Mevorach. “Especially if you’re coming from out of town, attending both events gives you excellent value for your money. I know a number of people have already signed up for both the YES Leadership Conference and the Forum – so we seemed to have met a need in the AIA membership.”
Those who cannot partake in all of the YES conference program are invited to attend the YES Cocktail Reception and Dinner networking opportunities starting at 5:30 p.m.
“The YES tag line is ‘Leadership for the aftermarket of the future’ – this conference helps to ensure that tomorrow’s leadership is well prepared for the future by providing both business and life management skills,” says AIA YES vice chair Brad Morris, Grote Industries Co.
