Affinia Group Announces Management Changes for Global Sales, Communications

Affinia Group Inc. has announced key management changes for global sales and communications.
Rod Nineham, vice president of global sales, has announced his retirement effective December 31, 2010, following 27 years of service with Dana Corp. and Affinia Group. Assuming the vice president’s position is Robert Beltran, who will work closely with Nineham throughout the remainder of 2010 to assure a smooth transition for the Affinia Global Sales Group and its global customers.
In addition, Scott Howat, formerly director of corporate communications, has been named director of global communications.
Beltran joined Dana in 1998 as a territory sales manager for brake and chassis and became involved in export sales in 2001. In 2005 he was promoted to Director of Affinia Global Sales, which included restructuring Affinia’s sales operation in Mexico. Beltran is based in Miami, which serves as the Affinia Global Sales headquarters.
In his new position, Howat is managing all avenues of communication throughout global Affinia. He joined Affinia in 2004 upon the company’s formation, developing Affinia’s first corporate communications program. Prior to Affinia, he served in management roles in brand marketing, product management and sales for Echlin Inc and Dana Corp.
“Rod has been instrumental in growing Affinia’s market share around the world, and we wish him the best in his retirement,” said Patrick Manning, vice president, business development. “We are also very excited about the new roles for Robert and Scott. Robert’s experience in Mexico, combined with a global perspective, will make him a strong leader for our global sales team. Scott’s extensive experience in all aspects of the aftermarket, with a focus on sales and marketing, offers the perspective we need in communicating to our customers and trade partners globally.”
