Activant Solutions has introduced a comprehensive data publishing program that enables manufacturers to guarantee faster distribution of updated parts information. The new Manufacturer Publishing Program, from Activant, formerly CCITRIAD, is designed to help aftermarket suppliers transform the way they distribute eCatalogue content. The program, which features three optional service packages tied to guaranteed publishing and distribution schedules, ensures timely delivery of fully updated manufacturer data to more than 70,000 store, warehouse, retailer and service dealer locations. The program will support and accept data submitted in the new AAIA enhanced and current Activant formats as well as a wide range of other electronic and paper-based data types. "The Manufacturer Publishing Program addresses a significant, unfulfilled need in today’s aftermarket guaranteed rapid availability of fully updated and consistent parts data," said Jonathan Gear, Activant Automotive Group vice president of marketing and business development. "This exciting new concept is another important demonstration of our renewed commitment to leadership in data services and other technology-based solutions for aftermarket businesses." The new program’s optional Platinum and Gold service levels, which provide guaranteed 60- and 90-day data publishing and distribution, respectively, carry a nominal fee for each light-duty passenger car and truck category. These service levels also include access to Activant’s new Manufacturer eServices Web Portal, which offers 24/7 online use of a wide range of manufacturer services and support as well as the company’s popular Activant BuyerAssist, Activant InterChange and other databases. The program’s Silver level, which guarantees 120-day delivery of published data to eCatalogue users, is free of charge. Value-added options such as eServices Web Portal access are available for an additional fee. "These options allow manufacturers to select a guaranteed publishing schedule that matches the unique requirements of their businesses and product categories while enjoying the benefits of integrating their data into the industry’s premier electronic catalogue," Gear said.
