AAPEX News: High Performance Window-Based Business Management Solutions

LAS VEGAS, NOV. 01, 2005. Carrus Technologies Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Mediagrif Interactive Technologies Inc. a world wide vertical B2B Internet company, announces the release of its full-Windows based Jobber Management System (JMS) and its Shop Management System (SMS) computer business management solutions into the United States aftermarket.
Carrus Technologies, has been developing these products for a number of years in the Canadian Automotive Aftermarket, and has become a leader in Windows-based solutions for the automotive industry.
“These are full windows based system so they are very fast and very stable. They are also more user friendly, less costly, and easier to upgrade than ‘split’ systems that combine Windows with Unix and other operating systems,” says Bob Worts, Director of Sales for Carrus Technologies.
The complete Jobber Management System includes a full accounting package, optional payroll package, paperless report generation, multi-user, branch and company functionality and electronic cataloguing.
The B2B e-commerce transactional network integrated into the systems enables both buyers and sellers of automotive aftermarket replacement parts to connect through the Internet to complete electronic purchases.
“With the number of acquisitions and changes going on in the marketplace, Jobbers have a need to keep separate financial performance data for separate divisions and even separate companies. The JMS system enables jobbers to keep separate P&Ls for these businesses and then, if management wishes, roll this financial data into a single overall P&L,” says Worts.
In addition to integrating this financial functionality, the JMS system can integrate e-cataloguing, order placement, inventory management, pricing functions and other business-critical functions, meaning that the jobber does not have to maintain separate front-end and back-end systems and support just to run his business.
Carrus Technologies is prepared to build on its considerable experience with the automotive aftermarket with these new releases into the U.S. automotive aftermarket.
The JMS System offers distinct advantages for the auto parts wholesaler, and is focused on providing the Jobber with a high-performance windows-based management system that fully integrates the SMS systems capabilities and offers multi-company, multi-store capability. The JMS is easily expanded by the Jobber to meet their ever-growing needs.
“The Shop Management System (SMS) is also a full Windows-based system, so it is easy to integrate into your existing computer systems providing the shops system meets the operational requirements. You can import your own price lists and there are options for up to 4 retail prices,” says Worts. “The real advantage for the shop owner is that he can spend less time re-keying the accounting data and more time managing the business and focusing on the customer.
The Shop Management System (SMS) provides complete shop management functionality including full accounting, complete financials, appointment scheduler, Internet ordering process, an optional payroll package with ADP and paperless report generation. Managers can develop estimates, work orders and invoices with the use of the electronic catalogue that includes a parts catalogue and labour guide. The Shop Management System (SMS) has a customer tire search screen, punch-clock, tire storage program and a full security system.
