2001: A Year to Remember, a Year to Forget – January


The January issue of Jobber News focused on the coming wireless revolution in automotive service. While it’s going to take a while to develop, it appears that the pieces are all in place. Jobber News was also able to report strong support for its Partners In Training Tour, which eventually put more than 200 independent shops through a two-day business-training course. Other news included Honeywell’s breaking off of the sale of Bendix in anticipation of a deal with General Electric. That saga was to play out over the next few months, eventually reaching a stalemate due to European regulators’ concerns.
