IWI Motor Parts of Dubuque, Iowa, is the newest shareholder of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance.
“We are tremendously excited to welcome IWI Motor Parts as our newest affiliate,” said John R. Washbish, president and CEO of the Alliance. “IWI’s focus on family and commitment to service makes it a great fit for the Alliance.”
IWI, which derives its name and logo from the states in which it operates (Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois), was founded in 1962. The now second-generation family-owned business began in a station wagon, with sales of filters, plugs, and other engine components to local gas stations.
Today, IWI Motor Parts employs nearly 240 people and operates 13 warehouses and a corporate headquarters. With service as its backbone, the company focuses on providing quality OEM parts to the aftermarket and local car dealers, according to TJ Faley, president of IWI Motor Parts.
“IWI management is looking forward to becoming a member of the Alliance,” Faley said. “The Alliance has long had a reputation for being the best buying group in the aftermarket. The Alliance integrity, honesty, and quality are characteristics we admire. IWI’s philosophy will align perfect with the Alliance Motto ‘Service is the difference, we get it.’”
Faley said IWI will also be continuing to look for opportunities that are contiguous to its existing footprint, is excited about the changes to the automotive market, and looks forward to the challenges ahead.
