INOAC and Woodbridge Expand Joint Activities

INOAC Corporation of Japan and The Woodbridge Group of Canada are pleased to announce an expansion of their long standing partnership with new joint ventures taking effect December 31, 2007.
In Japan, Woodbridge will purchase 50% of INOAC’s Kyushu moulded urethane foam operation. This acquisition completes a network of jointly owned facilities in Japan that serve the Japanese market.
In North America, INOAC will purchase 50% of four Woodbridge slab foam and flame lamination facilities that supply products to the automotive industry.
The joint venture will encompass facilities in Saltillo Mexico, Del Rio Texas and two locations in El Paso Texas.
These acquisitions form part of a global network known as the World Polyurethane Alliance, whose members manufacture foam based products.
This Alliance creates an excellent base for seamlessly serving automotive customers, where ever they are around the world.
In 1954, INOAC first introduced polyurethane foam to Japan and has continued to pioneer new foam products and processing technologies. Today, INOAC Group has over 100 facilities operating in 20 countries.
The Woodbridge Group is a Canadian company with 63 facilities operating in 21 countries. Automotive applications include components for seating, structural support, occupant protection, headliner systems and acoustical management, as well as a full range of value added services including engineering and design, supply chain management, assembly, sequencing and JIT delivery solutions.
