Canadian automotive e- commerce service, Autobytel.ca, unveiled its latest Top 10 list of most requested new vehicles in Canada, revealing the Honda Civic in the top spot.
Also, for the six month period ending March 2001, the Dodge Caravan and Toyota RAV4 made their first appearance on the list.
“This list indicates that the mid-sized car remains a favorite among Autobytel.ca users, with six of the ten models appearing on the list four times over a span of two years,” says Richard Wannenmacher, director of operations, Autobytel.ca. “As more and more Canadians log on to the Internet, it is interesting to see that these mid-sized cars are consistently requested while there is less consistency when it comes to minivans and SUVs.
“The strong debut of the Dodge Caravan, and newcomer Toyota RAV4, coupled with the fact the Ford Windstar and Ford Explorer have dropped off the list, shows that Autobytel.ca users have yet to settle on a clear favorite minivan or SUV.”
The Honda Civic continues to be the car of choice for Autobytel.ca users, and has topped the list again for the fourth time. The top 10 new cars requested through Autobytel.ca for the last six months are:
1 – Honda Civic
2 – Volkswagen Jetta
3 – Honda Accord
4 – Honda Odyssey
5 – Dodge Caravan
6 – Toyota Corolla
7 – Mazda Protege
8 – Ford Focus
9 – Toyota Camry
10 – Toyota Rav4
