Rick Schiedel has joined the sales team of Canadian automotive management software company, Gem-Car.

Rick, who has been involved in the automotive industry in one form or another throughout his 25-year professional career, will present the Gem-Car shop management system to shop owners.

He started out as a mechanic’s apprentice, working on the bench in the Kitchener-Waterloo, Ont. area.

Since then he has worked in the automotive natural gas and propane conversion business, and has done research and development work, along with calibration and performance diagnostic work on various automotive applications.

Since 2004 he has developed a career in sales within the automotive industry.

“With this career I find myself continually trying to learn more and more of the business side of the industry,” he says. “I have become familiar with how business owners approach their businesses how to help drive it forward.”
