Gabriel (Ride Control, LLC) is introducing over 200 new SKUs covering over 1200 new light vehicle applications for North American vehicles for 2011.
“Since we achieved our independence from previous ownership in 2009, we have been able to quickly and significantly strengthen our market position in North America and are introducing coverage for over 1200 applications for 2011. Our full line covers over 96 per cent of light vehicles,” said Lisa Bahash, president and CEO, Gabriel. “We are able to move quickly by leveraging our long-standing engineering expertise, testing resources and manufacturing abilities, while focusing on new product introductions that cover the greatest number of vehicles.”
All new parts are immediately available as they are released upon customer notification from Gabriel sales representatives. New parts are immediately included into Gabriel’s extensive Web site part search and into its recently upgraded mobile part search at the same time.
Super-finished chromed piston rods inhibit corrosion, ensure proper seal lubrication, provide a more consistent wear surface and produce longer product life. In an industry-standard 96-hour salt spray test, Gabriel super-finished chromed piston rods remained smooth and clean while un-chromed steel rods and rods coated with other corrosion resistant materials were rusted.
“Providing a super-finished chromed piston rod on all our shocks and struts is the right thing to do and just another way that Gabriel gives its customers more,” continues Bahash.
Gabriel is also one of the few ride control manufacturers in the U.S. and Canada to offer a complete line of value, premium and performance products. The Gabriel offers products in all Gabriel lines of conventional shocks and struts for light passenger cars and light trucks; Guardian, ProGuard, Ultra, as well as the high-performance MaxControl monotube shocks for cars, light trucks and SUVs.
Application introductions also cover Gabriel’s premium ride control products including precision-engineered preassembled ReadyMount strut assemblies, which ensure faster and safe installation of all new struts and component parts including the mount and spring for a complete out-of-the-box replacement solution.
“Since we became an independent company only two short years ago, Gabriel has rebranded itself to draw upon our 107-year-plus heritage as the originator of the first automotive shock absorber,” concludes Bahash. “The entrepreneurial spirit of our founder Claude Foster is alive and well at Gabriel and committed to bringing increasing levels of high quality, well tested product to the American market in the coming years.”
