First ever “Supporting Women In Trades” conference coming to Halifax

The inaugural “Supporting Women in Trades” conference will be held at the Marriott Harbourfront Hotel in Halifax, N.S. on Nov. 6 and 7.

Designed to highlight some of the initiatives underway across Canada to help address the challenges faced by women working in the skilled trades, this event is open to employees, employers, labour organizations, government, educators, and “other tireless advocates for diversity and inclusion.”

The lead-off speaker at the event will be Mandy Rennehan, CEO & founder of Freshco.ca

There will also be a panel of tradeswomen discussing ‘Lived Experiences,’ an educator panel on  Preparing Women for Success in the Skilled Trades, and an employer panel.
