Bestbuy Distributors held their Buy & Sell show in St. John’s, Newfoundland and celebrated several special occasions.
The opening ceremonies included Celtic Fiddlers, a Town Crier and a Fisherman who “screeched in” all the mainlanders.
Shareholders present included local business Colonial Auto Parts Limited, which celebrated its 75th year in business.
At the gala dinner, Colonial president Bill Elton received, on behalf of Colonial Auto Parts Limited, an acknowledgement plaque for Colonial’s 35 years of membership and support to Bestbuy. Entertainment was enjoyed during the course of the entire evening.
Bestbuy’s traditionally holds a charity golf tournament in conjunction with its events. This year it continued to raise thousands of dollars to benefit the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children.
Bestbuy’s next show, Opportunities 2002, will be held in Toronto on March 1 to 3, 2002.
