Ontario Drive Clean program increases repair cost limit

The Ontario Government has announced an increase in the repair cost limit for vehicles registered in the Phase 1 area (greater Toronto) of Ontario’s Drive Clean I/M program. Effective July 1st, the limit increased from $200 to $450. The new limit will be reviewed in two years. The repair cost limit represents the maximum repair dollar value allowed in repairing the emission control system on a failed vehicle. The repair cost limit applies to vehicles being re-registered; resales require a full pass.
