Knowledge Building: ASE Test Preparation

To prepare for the exam, it is advisable to ensure that you are well versed in vehicle systems knowledge as a majority of the questions deal with this general area.

To help prepare you for this segment, gather systems information from catalogs and training courses from manufacturers and distributors. Some suppliers have specific information to help you prepare for the exam.

Additionally, some groups have pre-test courses that simulate the actual test writing procedure.

You may also find it useful to have someone in your business formulate questions to help you prepare. You’ll note that they are all multiple choice, but a single best answer is always provided; there are no “all of the above” or “none of the above” answers.

Whichever route you choose, the act of sitting down and writing a practice test may be half the battle.

GOOD LUCK!
