Internet firm rates technicians

Denver-based GreatMechanics.com has launched a Web site that delivers consumer ratings of repair facilities based on customer ratings.

Participating shops must have a clean record with the Better Business Bureau and employ certified technicians who are required to sign an “Oath of Integrity”.

Consumers visiting GreatMechanics.com can access a particular shop’s customer opinions, comments and recommendations, as well as certifications, awards, and owner and technician biographies.

Customers can also find interactive maps, shop addresses and phone numbers, as well as sales and coupon offers. The company has not disclosed specific plans for the Canadian market.
