Following the separation from the Bendix brake business in April, Honeywell has brought FRAM filters, Autolite electronics and Prestone products together in Canada to form the Consumer Products Group (CPG). In addition to consolidating warehousing and distribution, CPG has brought all of its sales, marketing and customer service personnel together under one roof at Honeywell’s Canadian headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario. These changes do not effect the filter plant in Stratford, Ontario which was recently awarded the Canadian Award for Excellence in manufacturing.
Honeywell Friction Materials has ceased operations as a Canadian business entity and provides its Canadian customers with a US-based international program. “We understand that this new business model is a change for our Canada-based customers. It is currently being used in several countries around the world and has proven to be quite successful,” said Tim Jones, General Manager, Aftermarket, Honeywell Friction Materials. “In order for Honeywell Friction Materials to effectively service its customers’ needs, this was a necessary decision. Those that continue to work with us through our international business model will benefit from it.” For more information about the international purchasing program and to prepare final arrangement of warranties, returns and cores, customers should contact their Bendix sales representative.
