Raceway Media, LLC has just announced the launch of CollectorCarNation.com, a new social networking site for collector car enthusiasts. The new Collector Car Nation website is an online community where car collectors worldwide log on to communicate about their shared passion for antique cars, street rods, muscle cars, exotics and other vintage vehicles.
The website, located at http://www.CollectorCarNation.com, is free to join. Members create social networking profiles complete with photo albums and video, showcasing the cars they own and providing information about their cars, their interests and upcoming car shows. Members can also create their own blogs, participate in discussion forums, and buy and sell collector cars and trucks on the site using the site’s classified ad system.
Members who have set up profiles can initiate Auto Challenges against other members to determine who has the most popular car, as determined by member vote. The Auto Challenges last 48 hours, during which all Collector Car Nation members can view the competing cars’ photo albums and descriptions, then weigh in with comments and votes. Auto Challenge winners receive ‘virtual trophies’ which are displayed as part of the winner’s profile. The site also hosts tournaments of 16 cars, with four rounds of head to head auto challenges in which members vote to determine the tournament winner.
The site includes an extensive Event Calendar that lists car shows and other events of interest to collectors nationwide. Viewers can select any upcoming event and are directed to a page with additional information about the event, including a link to the event’s website, local weather, and nearby restaurants, bars and hotels recommended by other members. Each listed event also includes a “Meet Up” function allowing members to schedule meet-ups at car shows with other members as well as a dedicated discussion board for that particular event and a place to post photos from an event. The site also includes a feature allowing members to add upcoming events to the calendar.
“We’re excited about this new website, which we believe will be a fun and useful destination for collector car enthusiasts everywhere,” said Osmin Alvarez, CEO of Raceway Media, LLC. “We created CollectorCarNation.com for people who are really passionate about their collector cars, whether they’re vintage hot rods, muscle cars or Model Ts. We’re proud to provide a new and entertaining online destination that will connect collectors worldwide, letting them share their interests and communicate about what they love.”
