Epicor Software Corporation has enhanced its powerful Epicor® Vision business management software with several important new features, including the ability for automotive aftermarket distributors to host independent locations that want to use the software within their own businesses.
The Epicor Vision software is an innovative, highly flexible and scalable Microsoft Windows-based solution for distributors who want to control costs through extremely efficient inventory management and differentiate their businesses by delivering a superior customer experience. The system features world-class customer relationship management (CRM) tools, a centralized database, integrated accounting, and other features that help drive sales and operational efficiency.
The latest version of the Epicor Vision software includes a comprehensive hosting capability that enables distributors to offer use of their software to independent customers. This important new feature allows the distributor to help support the growth and increased efficiency of the independent stores and facilitates electronic orders. All accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, customer files, and other proprietary information is protected for each business using the Vision software.
“This capability is a powerful differentiator for distributors who want to increase customer loyalty by providing the tools their independents need to run more efficient and profitable businesses,” said Craig McCollum, executive vice president and general manager, retail distribution solutions for Epicor.
Other important enhancements now available in the latest version of Vision include:
–Cross docking of customer orders without a warehouse management system
–Integration of the Epicor BuyerAssist™ feature into Purchasing and Part Management functions
–Fast, easy pricing model modifications across multiple rules
–Additional invoice delivery options including “Print,” “Fax,” “Email,” “Email and Print,” and “Fax and Print”
–Streamlined integration of Epicor LaserCat 3 electronic catalog into customer order screens
“Epcor is doing a good job of moving the system forward, keeping it modern with the latest features so it’s attractive and beneficial to existing users as well as new distributors coming on line,” said Tom Piper, vice president of information technology for Automotive Supply Associates/Sanel Auto Parts, which uses the system to run its distribution center and each of 37 company stores. “The more users on Vision, the stronger it has become. It was definitely the right investment for us.”
