eBay Motors partners with SHIFTMobility

Automotive telematics-enabled platform creator SHIFTMobility has teamed up with eBay Motors to shorten the order process for parts.

The effort, an announcement said, combines SHIFTMobile’s aftermarket service centre solutions with eBay’s inventory of car parts., where a single car part is purchased every three seconds on a mobile device.

The announcement said that the ordering process costs repair shops an average of 15 minutes, but technology can reduce that time, potentially turning it into a one-click affair.

“Through this partnership with SHIFTMobility, we are extending our technology and expansive selection of automotive parts to independent repair shops,” said Matt Thomas, director of merchandising, eBay Motors. “This relationship allows us to further provide a powerful and simplified shopping experience for these critical business customers.”

Pavana Jain, CEO and co-founder of SHIFTMobility, said he was “excited to partner with eBay Motors and provide our users with access to one of the world’s largest marketplaces of OEM, aftermarket, and hard-to-find parts.”
