Delphi Announces Annual Dream Shop…

Delphi Announces Annual Dream Shop Sweepstakes Giveaway

Due to the popularity of last year’s Dream Shop giveaway, Delphi announced they will again equip one lucky technician with parts, tools, equipment, shop supplies and training as part of the 2012 Delphi Dream Shop Sweepstakes, which launched this month and will continue through September 30. The winning technician can use the grand prize to upgrade an existing shop or build his ultimate Dream Shop. Part of Delphi’s fourth-annual Destination: Victory Lane promotion (www.delphi.com/victorylane), the grand prize winner will be named at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in November 2012 in Las Vegas.

“Based on our global aftermarket leadership with the benefit of more than 100 years of OE heritage, we are a trusted resource for technicians who need to stay ahead of today’s evolving automotive technology,” said Lúcia Veiga Moretti, president, Delphi Product & Service Solutions. “It’s with great pleasure we can offer the Delphi Dream Shop for another year and reward our technicians for choosing Delphi.”

This year’s Delphi Dream Shop giveaway includes electronic equipment needed to service today’s vehicle electronics reality such as a high-performance laptop with shop management software, diagnostic tool pro scanner, diagnostics software and OBDII/CAN hand-held reader. Plus earth-friendly products like an A/C recovery machine, gas caddy system and fuel system tester. Other items include shop essentials such as mechanic tools, air tools and compressor, a heavy-duty lift, transmission jack, two-ton service jack, engine lift, tire changer and balancer, battery charger and tester and brake lathe.

The grand prize winner will receive Delphi parts from its fuel, engine management, heating and cooling, and diesel product portfolio. Delphi applies its OE engineering and high quality standards to every part it builds. Delphi’s wide import and domestic application coverage includes fuel pumps for three out of four vehicles in North America, and 95 percent O2 coverage for Ford, Toyota, Volkswagen or Chrysler applications. Delphi will also include comprehensive training from its award-winning program, as well as a subscription to Delphi’s RepairPoint, to provide further online diagnostic support.

Once registered at Delphi’s Destination: Victory Lane website, technicians can come back every day for more entries and chances to win.

The 2011 Delphi Dream Shop grand prize winner, Brandon Tidwell, uses some of the new supplies and parts he won at the Beaverton, Oregon shop where he works as a technician. “Having all of the new tools, equipment and training opportunities helps me work more effectively to diagnose and repair vehicles so I can get my customers back on the road,” Tidwell said. “Enrolling in the Delphi Dream Shop was a wise choice.”

By signing up at www.delphi.com/victorylane, technicians are also eligible to win 11 monthly prizes, such as handheld touch-screen tablets and many weekly prizes they can use in their shop, such as Delphi mechanic gloves, shop stools and fender covers. Hundreds of instant prizes will be awarded including BassPro gift cards, Delphi lunch coolers and Delphi ball caps.

The Delphi Destination: Victory Lane web site gives technicians access to the latest information and tech tips on Delphi parts. It also allows them to follow Delphi-sponsored Hendrick drivers like Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon and Kasey Kahne, as well as their crew chiefs with weekly updates and behind-the-scenes racing information.

Technicians are encouraged to enter early and visit often. Delphi’s “Win the Delphi Dream Shop” promotion runs from Feb. 13, 2012, through September 30, 2012. Official rules can be found at www.delphi.com/victorylane.
