CRP Automotive Solves Tricky BMW…

CRP Automotive Solves Tricky BMW Oil Leaks

#aftermarket – CRP Automotive offers a special series of AJUSA gaskets for applications on a wide range of BMW 6-Cylinder engines (95-present). These gaskets have been specifically designed to solve persistent oil leaks from the oil filter and oil cooler housings. These leaks usually show up in the front area of the motor and are typically misdiagnosed as leaking head or valve cover gaskets.

CRP Automotive offers AJUSA Oil Filter Housing Gasket, PN# 00579900 (BMW PN# 11421719855) for BMW 6-Cylinder engines, model year 1992-2005 and AJUSA Oil Filter Housing Gasket, PN# 01099000 (BMW PN# 11427537293) for BMW 6-Cylinder engines, model years 2006-present. If the BMW is equipped with engine oil cooler, the housing gasket should be replaced at the same time, as it is likely to leak as well. The suggested repair is Ajusa Oil Cooler Housing Gasket, PN# 01263400 (BMW PN# 11427525335)

According to Todd Ciccone, CRP’s AJUSA brand manager, “A quick cleanup of the area will help determine if the source of oil leak is coming from the housing or above it. It’s fairly common for these gaskets to leak, as they tend to get ‘dry’ and ‘brittle’ over time, especially with high under hood temperatures and extended oil change intervals common on vehicles today.”
