College of Trades on the agenda at information meeting

The director of compliance and enforcement for Ontario’s new College of Trades was on hand to answer questions at an information evening in Ottawa Apr. 23.

Bob Onyschuk was scheduled to discuss the college’s mandate and its plans to deal with unlicensed tradespeople.

The event, organized by the Collision Industry Information Assistance group in Ontario,  also featured discussions on the new CASIS Vehicle Security Professional program and an update on health and safety aspects of hoist use.

The event was held tonight in Room CA412 at Algonquin College. That’s at 1385 Woodroffe Avenue in Ottawa. Organizers say attendees would have the opportunity to ask questions and have comments heard.

The series of information events is being sponsored by Standard Auto Wreckers, Classic Bumper & Fender, and iCoat.
