CIAS 2002 News: Late Parts Expert Honored as Counterperson of the Year

Mitch Felberg, who passed away recently, was named the winner of the Stephen Solomon Memorial Award as Counterperson of the Year at the
"No vehicle was too old or too young for him to locate the parts you were after," attendees heard of Felberg. "He always had time for his customers. Mitch knew his stuff and knew it well."
Felberg had worked for a number of wholesalers over the years, the last being Redfern Automotive.
The award was accepted by Felberg’s sister Marla and brother Howard.
The award is named in memory of Stephen Solomon, the long-time counterperson and manager of New Motor-Queen City Auto Parts in Toronto, who was noted for his exceptional abilities and died unexpectedly in his 30s. The award was initiated by his longtime competitors at British Auto Supply, Michael and David Schwartz.
